The Seattle Orcas will kick off their 2024 Cognizant Major League Cricket season against MI New York on Friday, July 5th in what will be a rematch of last year’s final. The highly anticipated match is set to take place at Church Street Park in Morrisville, North Carolina.

“Last year’s final was an unforgettable experience,” said All-rounder Harmeet Singh, who played in the 2023 final. “We’re excited to start against New York this time around and look forward to getting our season started on the right foot.”

This year’s season opener promises an electric atmosphere, especially with players returning from a successful World Cup. Seattle Orcas’ Harmeet Singh and Aaron Jones were part of the USA’s record-breaking run to the Super-8 stage and have experienced the fans' energy firsthand.

“It’s a great opportunity for fans to show their appreciation for the players who made such an impact this summer, for both the USA and all the sides at the World Cup,” said a coach or somebody who is not Harmeet or Aaron from the Seattle Orcas preseason camp(LINK). “Of course we’re looking to start the season with a positive result too, and the entire squad is focused on preparations for this season’s opener.

After North Carolina, the action shifts to Grand Prairie in Dallas - the site of USA’s famous win against Pakistan from this summer.

“We’ll be chomping at the bit to play in Dallas,” said Aaron Jones. “Obviously we have great memories there from this Summer with the USA and we’re looking forward to playing in front of another packed house.”

Tickets for all the matches for Season 2 are now on sale, starting at $30 for both venues. Apart from individual match tickets, an All Regular Season Matches pass is also available for both Grand Prairie and Morrisville, starting at $288 and $216 respectively.
