We’re getting closer to Major League Cricket (MLC) Season 3, now just about four months away! The latest milestone for all six franchises was the Domestic Draft, where teams filled their remaining roster spots with top U.S.-based talent.

Seattle Orcas had the most work to do, heading into the draft with five open domestic slots after retaining several key players last week.

After an exciting draft, we’re thrilled to announce the five newest members of the Orcas family who will represent us in the upcoming season:

Jasdeep Singh -:

One of the best fast bowlers in the USA, Jasdeep was the #1 overall pick in this year’s domestic draft. He joins the Orcas after spending last season with MI New York and later stepping in as a replacement player for Washington Freedom, where he delivered two Player of the Match performances in just two games. We can’t wait to see Jessy bring his firepower to our bowling attack!

Sujit Nayak -:

An experienced all-rounder with a background in top-level cricket, Sujit Nayak was one of our three consecutive picks in the draft, coming in at #5 overall.

Having played for IPL teams like the Mumbai Indians and Delhi Daredevils, this left-handed all-rounder is ready to make his mark in Major League Cricket. The Podsquad can expect him to bring power-hitting in the middle and lower order, along with steady, accurate bowling.

Steven Taylor -:

Former USA captain and a dynamic opening batter, Steven Taylor will be wearing Seattle Orcas colors in MLC 2025. As the first-ever U.S. batter to score a T20I century, all eyes will be on him as he lines up alongside Ryan Rickelton at the top of the order.

Taylor is widely regarded as one of the most talented homegrown cricketers in the U.S. and has previously played for MI New York. We’re pumped to see him in green!

Shayan Jahangir -:

A skilled top-order batter, Shayan Jahangir joins the Orcas after playing for MI New York over the past two seasons. A regular on the U.S. national team, he brings experience and a knack for scoring runs. Expect fireworks from this seasoned campaigner—welcome aboard, Shay!

Rahul Jariwala -:

A rising star behind the stumps, 20-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman Rahul Jariwala rounds out our domestic roster as our rookie contract signing.

Hailing from the Bay Area, Rahul worked his way through the ranks in age-group cricket before making his U.S. national team debut at just 18. With a bright future ahead, we’re excited to see him grow with the Orcas in MLC Season 3.
