Major League Cricket Season 3 is just a little over four months away, and that means all six franchises will be starting with preparations early.

We are pleased to announce that the Seattle Orcas have retained 7 players including 5 domestic athletes returning for our 2025 Major League Cricket Season.

Heinrich Klaasen (South Africa) -
Was there ever a doubt? Arguably the world’s greatest T20 batter will continue representing us, for a third season in a row! After having led us in Season Two, we can’t be more excited to have Klaasie back in our colours, come 2025! With two editions experience behind him, the Proteas big-hitter can be expected to go big, yet again.

Ryan Rickelton (South Africa) -
Our best batter of Season Two, with 225 runs including a monumental century - Ryan Rickelton is the second international retention for Seattle Orcas ahead of the next edition.
In fiery form across formats and teams, Ryan has the focus of the world firmly on him & it will be no different as he returns to the USA in 2025.

Cameron Gannon -
The tall, lanky pacer from Down Under - Cameron Gannon signs up for yet another season of greatness in green. Having been our leading wicket-taker in both editions, the expectations for Ganno will be even higher as MLC Season Three gets closer!

Whether it be showing the world how to dismiss Steve Smith or any other batter, we hope to see Big Cam break his own numbers (and stumps!).

Harmeet Singh -
USA’s premier all-round spin bowler who is a household name across the globe, there was no way we were letting go of Harmeet Singh. After plying his trade across nations since Season Two in multiple leagues and for the national side, we cannot wait to witness Harmeet magic in Major League Cricket again!

Aaron Jones -
One of the best to do it over the last 2-3 years for the United States, experienced batter Aaron Jones is the next name on the list of Seattle Orcas retentions. With passion reignited within, one can expect fireworks from the absolute rockstar with the bat.

Ali Sheikh -
Another impressive young all-rounder from our domestic pool of talent, Ali Sheikh returns to don our colours in Major League Cricket Season 3.

Riding on some classy performances whenever given the opportunity last year and growing in all areas since, the slow left-arm tweaker aims to solidify his position in the starting XI a lot more come MLC 2025! Can’t wait to relive those athletic dives across the outfield & sizzling shots while batting as well.

Ayan Desai -
Who can ever forget that first-ball wicket of Devon Conway on his Major League Cricket debut in 2024? And as you guessed correctly, Ayan Desai is here to stay with the Seattle Orcas for another season. After that exhilarating display, we can’t wait to see what the left-arm pacer has in store for us in Season Three!

Speaking on what the retained players would bring to our roster, Hemant Dua, CEO of the Seattle Orcas, said:

“T20 is a fast-paced game, and the league format has made it highly competitive. It's crucial to have players who can give us an advantage from the very beginning. We are pleased that most of the players we have retained are currently performing well in T20 leagues around the world and for their national teams. We hope they can carry that same form into our games in MLC Season 3 with the Seattle Orcas.“

Look ahead to a fantastic Season Three!
