Waqar Salamkheil will join the Seattle Orcas jersey in the upcoming Major League Cricket 2025 season.

The 23-year-old brings extensive experience, having competed in all three seasons of the ILT20, the SA20 for MI Cape Town, and multiple other T20 domestic leagues worldwide. In his overall T20 career, Salamkheil earned 92 wickets in 72 matches.

The left-arm wrist spinner has already proven his mettle by winning the ILT20 (2023/2024) with MI Emirates and the Big Bash League (2024/2025) with the Hobart Hurricanes. He also impressed with the Trinbago Knight Riders, finishing as their leading wicket-taker in back-to-back CPL seasons (2023 and 2024).

He was also a part of MI Cape Town in the first season of SA20.

Additionally, he was the joint-highest wicket-taker in ILT20 Season 2, taking 17 wickets in 11 matches for MI Emirates alongside his national teammate Fazalhaq Farooqi.
