Seattle Orcas have strengthened their pace attack ahead of Major League Cricket 2025 with the signing of Afghanistan’s premier left-arm pacer, Fazalhaq Farooqi.

The 24-year-old has been a standout performer in T20 leagues worldwide, consistently delivering match-winning spells. Across his T20 career, Farooqi has claimed 154 wickets in 115 matches at an impressive average of 18.70 — a testament to his skill and impact with the ball.

Farooqi boasts a wealth of experience in elite T20 competitions, having represented MI Emirates in the ILT20, multiple teams in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), and Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League (IPL), among others.

His performances in the ILT20 have been particularly outstanding. He finished as the tournament’s highest wicket-taker in back-to-back seasons, claiming 17 wickets in 2024 and 21 wickets in 2025, playing a crucial role in MI Emirates’ title-winning campaign in the former.

With his ability to deliver in high-pressure situations and a proven track record at the highest level, Farooqi is set to add firepower to the Seattle Orcas’ bowling attack as we gear up for Major League Cricket Season 3.

Welcome to the PodSquad, Fazalhaq Farooqi!
